RTG Fellowship for Thai Students for August 2018 Intake

Closing on 31 July 2018 (Apply Early is recommended)

The vision of the Royal Thai Government (RTG) is to prepare the country and its people for the emerging ASEAN Economic Community. Through its no-bond RTG Fellowships at AIT, RTG seeks to prepare her engineers, scientists and managers to become global citizens and emerge as key drivers of Thailand’s international competitiveness. The Royal Thai Government therefore offers academic fellowships to Thai students to pursue Master’s and Doctoral degree programs.

Eligibility:

  • Thai national only
  • Having English proficiency as required by AIT
  • Four-year Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
  • MBA applicants require an additional one-year relevant work experience

RTG Fellowships for Master Degree

100% 848,000 Baht (covers entire study cost of 4 semesters) GPA ≥ 3.00 (from top universities*)
GPA ≥ 3.50 (other universities)
75% 636,000 Baht (covers 3 semesters, student pays remainder 212,000 baht as one semester cost) GPA ≥2.75 (from top universities*)
GPA ≥ 3.00 (other universities)
50% 424,000 Baht (covers 2 semesters, student pays same amount for 2 semesters) GPA ≥ 2.75 or equivalent

RTG Fellowships for Doctoral Degree

To qualified for these fellowships, the applicants should have a Cumulative GPA of 3.50 in their Master’s degree and 2.75 in their undergraduate program from top universities *(3.00 for other universities).

(7) King Mongkut University of Technology Thonburi
(8) Prince of Songkla University

Scholarships for August 2018 Intake

Students interested in applying for master or PhD degree at the Natural Resources Management for August 2018 intake should apply now. Closing for many scholarships is 31 March 2018.  Your applications will be reviewed and if admitted, you will be automatically considered for the scholarship that best matches your qualifications.

Scholarships are awarded on very competitive basis. Each scholarship award covers full tuition and registration fees plus accommodation, and a bursary for living expenses in AIT’s residential campus, for the entire period of 22-24 months (four semesters) for the Master degree program and 41 Months (7 semesters) for the Doctoral degree program depending on the scholarship criteria.

Required Documents

  • Degree Certificate and Transcript of Undergraduate Degree and / or Master’s Degree;
  • Two Letters of Recommendation;
  • English Proficiency Requirement: TOEFL (Computer based: 210) and IELTS: 6 (writing and overall) or equivalent;
  • An essay on your proposed research topic (For doctoral applicants only).

Fellowships

Fellowships are also offered to support the most qualified applicants depending on their qualifications and merit but they are awarded on very competitive basis. Fellowships cover a part (or full) of the credit fees (tuition) only.  Applicants should find other sources to pay for registration fees, accommodation fees or living expenses.

NRM Welcomes New Faculty, Dr. Takuji Tsusaka

Dr. Takuji Tsusaka joined AIT in January 2018. He is the scientist specialized in production economics, innovation systems for the drylands and markets. AT NRM, he will teach and co-teach the following courses:

Natural Resources Economics (ED76.20)
Natural Resources Management Issues in Asia (ED76.02)
Statistical Methods and Techniques for Development
